Happy Anniversary!
Newhouse School Black and Latino Network Participants. The Network was created 09/17/2005 4:30 am, Syr, NY.

Eventually, this network will begin to grow. It will become an important tool in our academic, social, financial, professional and spiritual lives; as we learn to support each other. Also, look for this network to grow and change with technology.

This is a shout out to the Newhouse people of CBT 8, who said, "We need a more continuous way to reach the students and ourselves." These thanks go out to Wayne Brown, Dr. Rick Wright and Angela Robinson. They all said go for it! And it was done.

" ....We want your participation too. If you don't like how something looks or works around here, let's hear it. If you can contribute, in a positive way, step up. It does not have to be grand. Just leaving information that others can use is priceless. Also, jumping into a leadership role is welcome and should be considered. "

The next day, I reported to them that the technology was up and running. Now, all we need is participation.

The working environment of this network is somewhat ridgid. Aesthetically, it use to look down right ugly. However, This workspace has seen major changes in the past year, some cosmetic and some really effective added features. Use it, and make this a more serious effort to network.

As the years progress, expect that we will change and outgrow this current web space. We may eventually combine efforts with the university; but, at this time, we are doing the best we can do at zero cost.

Please take the time to log on to the Network and say a greeting to the Network participants. We want your participation too. If you don't like how something looks or works around here, let`s hear it. If you can contribute, in a positive way, step up. It does not have to be grand. Just leaving information that others can use is priceless. Also, jumping into a leadership role is welcome and should be considered.

THE WAY THIS THING WORKS REQUIRES PARTICIPATION. No one person can manage this resource. We will need, eventually, more than a hundred group admins. You can be one. Participate! Suggestion: Make your own SU-related group here and populate it, administer to it; while providing a healthy networking experience. This is an invitation to existing SU-related groups also. We have certain tools which may augment your group`s services. We are inclusive!

Visitors and guests, as a courtesy, please attach your name and e-mail address at the bottom of your posts.
